AHLA Safe Stay
AHLA’s industry-backed update on employee & guest health, employee responsibilities, cleaning protocols and physical distancing, to meet the new health and safety challenges and expectations presented by COVID-19.
As attempts are made to reopen the accommodation sector, it will be important that every traveller feels confident in the protocols in place to keep them safe.
Hospitality at its core is an industry of people taking care of others, and this duty of care will be intensified post-COVID, as a greater focus is placed on ensuring that hotel guests are not being placed at any risk throughout their stay.
What is AHLA doing about this via Stay Safe?
Safe Stay will seek to change hotel industry norms, behaviours and standards to ensure both hotel guests and employees are confident in the cleanliness and safety of hotels once travel resumes.
This industry-wide (U.S.) initiative represents a new level of focus and transparency for an industry already built on cleanliness. With Safe Stay these standards are being enhanced further to boost consumer confidence in accordance with guidance issued by public health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
